At Thunderbird Equine, every horse is developed with balance, patience, and purpose. Our training philosophy blends ranch tradition with performance horsemanship to create confident riders and versatile horses that can succeed anywhere — from the ranch to the show pen

Halter Breaking
A solid foundation starts on the ground. My halter breaking program is designed to create young horses that are respectful, easy to handle, and confident as they transition into future training. From leading and tying to standing for the farrier, these first steps establish the trust and consistency needed for everything that follows.

Colt Starting
I specialize in giving colts their first rides in a way that builds confidence and understanding. By focusing on body control, responsiveness, and forward movement, I prepare young horses to carry a rider safely while laying the groundwork for future performance or ranch work. My goal is a colt that is soft, balanced, and willing to learn.

Performance Stockhorse Development
Join one of the fastest-growing and most accessible western riding events today under the guidance of a coach who truly understands real-world ranch horses both in and out of the show pen.
For horses preparing for the show pen, I offer tailored training that develops the skills required for Stock Horse competition. From precision in trail and pleasure to responsiveness in reining and cow work, I focus on creating versatile horses that are not only competitive in the arena but also grounded in real-world usefulness.

Ranch Horse Basics for Aged Horses
A correct and balanced horse is a safe horse. Investing in proper training now can save you the cost, risk, and stress of medical bills later. With a lifetime of experience around horses — and plenty of hard-earned lessons — I’ve developed a keen eye for potential problems before they happen, along with practical solutions to prevent them. This program is designed to turn seasoned horses into reliable, willing partners you can trust in any situation, whether on the ranch or out on the trail.

Quigley was originally bred by Sansarc Rose Quarter Horses out of Hayes SD. Currently he is in long term training and will be offered to the public as a three year old in late 2027.
2011 AQHA Palomino Gelding
Approx. 15 Hands
Royal Kings Lightnin is not the horse that will have everyone gathered around his stall discussing his conformation.
He is, however, the horse they'll ask to borrow.
Finished heel horse with a good handle, easy lead departures, and enough experience to know his job. He rides in a tie down, handles time off well, and comes back to work without requiring a negotiation.
Turkey is honest, practical, and straightforward. The sort that lets his rider focus on the task at hand instead of spending every ride wondering what today's surprise might be.
His pretty palomino color is a bonus, but his value comes from what's between his ears.
He would make an excellent:
• Junior rodeo horse
• High school rodeo horse
• Heel horse
• Ranch horse
• Trail horse
AQHA registered with Royal King and Tony's Royal Cutter breeding.
Located in Colorado.
